  12. First of all, thank you for downloading JVDE EBackup !
  13.  
  14. This program is an encryption and decryption program. You can encrypt and decrypt your files in a snap.
  15. Because this program uses the DES algorithm and also compresses the files, it's virtually impossible to crack. Still, I cannot guarantee you that your files will be 100% safe.

  17. Please NOTE: You may only use JVDE EBackup 2.50 Standard on a personal non-profit base. For commercial usage, please register JVDE EBackup 2.50 Pro.

  20. BECAUSE JVDE EBACKUP STANDARD USES THE DES ENCRYPTION ALGORITHM, JVDE EBACKUP COMPLIES TO THE U.S. EXPORT RESTRICTIONS.

  22. Installation:
  23. --------------
  24. 1. Unzip the EBak250.zip file to a temporary directory (eg. c:\temp) using pkunzip or WinZip (http://www.winzip.com).
  25. 2. Execute the Setup.exe file and follow the setup instructions.
  26. 3. After you have installed JVDE EBackup successfully, you can execute it via Start => Programs => JVDE EBackup 2.50 => JVDE EBackup 2.50 Standard.

  30. - Pentium processor recommended.
  31. - Windows 95/98.
  32. - 2 MB free hard drive space.
  33. - Winsock drivers.
  34. - Recent version of ComCtl32.dll.

  36. A screen resolution of 800x600 and a screen color resolution of 16 bit or higher is recommended.

  41. - Added a Self-Extractor, so other people who haven't installed JVDE EBackup will be able to decrypt JBK files. This feature is only available in the Pro version of JVDE EBackup.
  42. - Auto-Update-Check has been removed from the Pro version.
  43. - Auto-Update-Check is now timed out: when JVDE EBackup cannot connect to server after 5 seconds, Auto-Update-Check will be cancelled.
  44. - The Wipe Function strength has been slightly increased.
